AnTiki beach pictures
The Eleutheran newspaper has published new pictures of AnTiki enjoying Eleuthera’s pink sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. They were taken by Bob Colman who lives nearby and has been helping the AnTiki crew enormously and is currently organising the operation to tow the raft to her mooring.
“Since coming ashore at the end of April 29th, the AnTiki raft has been sitting on a beautiful Atlantic coast beach of Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera, The Bahamas. Since its arrival, the 86 year-old captain, Anthony Smith, said he wanted the raft on the calm western coast of the town, just a couple miles across land. However, to get there, the raft will have to be towed north to Harbour Island and then across to the other side of Eleuthera, before traveling south to get back to Governors. Men from the town have been working at re-launching the raft into the water and are expected this weekend to take it on its journey.”
